VLADIMIR PUTIN MENTIONS MODI AS A MEDIATOR IN RUSSIA-UKRAINE PEACE MAKING

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed that India, China and Brazil can be Russia’s mediators in peace talks regarding Ukraine. On Thursday Putin said as a ground level agreement has been established between Russian and Ukrainian negotiators at the conversations upon Istanbul in the first weeks of the war which was never executed. This agreement can serve as the base of the peace talks. Putin stated that while the prevailing of Kyiv’s offensive, he was all set to have conversations with Ukraine after rejecting the idea of negotiation previously.

Putin’s opinion comes after PM Modi visited to Moscow. Modi also recently visited to Ukraine where he referred India’s notion on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine as the country leans to peace. PM Modi has been looking for peace by resolving problems between the Russia-Ukraine since the time the war started in 2022.
